New gameplay
Hello,

I haven't played in 2 years.

I am starting a new game play with a friend. We ran into some issues.

First issue was, he could not find my game in the game's search engine. My game was in friends only mode.

*Fixed* Second issue, I am trying to get a bigger map, I have found several thread about this topic, and the main one, I followed as much as my abilities allowed it, the path to get a bigger map. It didn't work. My only experience in this subject is customizing farming simulator series xml files. My concern is, I have to start a map to be able to resize it, I don't understand this process but I did start a new game first, closed the game, then I went in the WorldGenerator file and modified the size (By default, it is at 72 by 72). I tried to input 288 by 288. ( I have the pc for it) I restarted the game and I didn't notice any diference at all in the map, even the map coords goes up to 700 (coordinate location). *Fixed*

Leaving this here for those having problems with making bigger map.

So my problem with generating a bigger map was, I had to delete all my saves that I had, configure the file with bigger dimension in the file ((...Eco>Eco_data>server>configs) WorldGenerator.eco)) I used the note pad to open it and edited the worldwidth and worldlenght lines ( the first few lines in the note pad text). I restarted the game with no saved and no saves. I made a new game with a random seed. The seed was important because I kept loading the same map over and over.

Any help is welcome, thanks

Regarding your second problem:
If you start the server, it first tries to load the existing world which is saved in the folder specified in "/Eco/Eco_data/Server/Configs/Storage.eco". Only if this world/folder does not exist a new map is generated according to the settings in "\Eco\Eco_Data\Server\Configs\WorldGenerator.eco".
(In case "Storage.eco" / "WorldGenerator.eco" does not exist see "Storage.eco.template" / "WorldGenerator.eco.template".)
In your case you started a new game/map, then changed the settings for world generation and restarted the server, which loaded the already existing world.
You can 1) delete the folder with the old world or 2) change the folder name (rename the existing one or change the folder the server tries to write to/read from in "/Eco/Eco_data/Server/Configs/Storage.eco").

Locally hosted games aren't put into the server list without specifically configuring so. You need to either use the server id to join or use the steam join function in the friend profile.
