But yeah I understand your feelings for the internet and feeling in a way you don't really own the game.
And for people who have crappy internet or don't always have the internet games requiring net connection even if your playing by yourself become digital dust collectors.
Still remember my first 2 and a half years of the 6 years here where I live no net the majority of the games I had installed on my pc didn't work they all required the net to authorize/enable gameplay lmao.
As a consumer, we purchase the right to use their piece of software, and we do so under their EULA. This means, they decide the terms for using it, not us.
Not the first 1 made and will definitely not be the last either.
These games are all originally created for multiplayer gameplay at base but most of them are nice enough to allow ways for their game to be played in a singleplayer way.
Which they are smart for doing it and I'm thankful to them because it's the only reason I buy games like this that are mp oriented because I pretty much gave up on mp gaming because of the level of toxicity/racism I was experiencing playing online games with random people.
I'm sorry, they are "nice enough" to allow for a single player way to play? Like the massive workload of ... setting the max number of players on a server to 1? Are you serious?
And setting max players to 1 won't really allow for single play if you don't change the actual settings that matter to making a single player session enjoyable so your smart ass comment was truly useless and pointless .
