Report a translation problem
I've not seen that issue since, but I am honestly not sure.
Couldn't you just cover a name up with a command like /nickname? It's used widely on other types of games and it doesn't change your name, but only visually changes it for you and other players.
Though being able to change your name, by using a law would be even better, just like real life.
The user name is core identifier that can be changed via /object edit, but that may fail the save, so do on your own risk. You must do a restart for it to take effect and any related objects will not be renamed (like the personal bank account). We do plan to introduce a separate identifier in a future update and the ability to set your name for each server, but currently it's not possible.
We have ran the configuration you have mentioned to not be possible for our official servers, by the way. Works fine. You should make a bug report if you have a confirmed, reproducable issue with steps. Only then we can address the problem. It was never reported and as I said, we ran that configuration ourselves.
if not, can the server admins do it?
