The chance for the sound to appear has been significantly reduced in Update 9.3, but we do not plan to remove it.

i extremely highly suggest you do remove it regardless of what ever emotional attachment you have to it because it is cringey as hell and makes any sort of good vibe instantly go away when it happens. but thanks for lowing the chances at least

(And yes, I do disagree with your statement - i find that sound totally nice and fitting and it's indeed a bit of a oldschool Eco feature :))

well... I wet my pants on a regular basis because i laugh so hard when I chop down a tiny saguaro that hardly makes a "pop" noise when it hits the ground and my avatar is yelling "TIMBEEEEER" like
"LOOK AT ME! I AM A REAL MAN"
like he chopped down a redwood with one hit.
