Copper and Gold Ore: best places to find?
In which biome can we find copper and gold ore?

And at which depth?

IIRC gold is most likely in rainforest, but it will ALWAYS be in granite regardless of where it shows up.

I'm not sure what depth of granite is ideal.

mountainous areas are best for copper and usually gold too. supposedly @20 below is best area for it, on some worlds where there are really large mountainous regions you can get multiple copper and gold deposits exposed at ground level

Dennis, thanks for the link. About copper can you also shows us at which depth we have to mine?

It's not really a depth, as copper mostly is vertical blobs. You just need to find the right place. Mountains are good.

I'm playing in a world in which I had not found any copper. Then I noticed a mother load of crushed copper on the surface in a boreal area. Is this sort of thing normal? And can I expect to find copper ore in the vicinity of the crushed stuff?
