Eco
World Size
I was just curious if you can change the World size when just playing single player. Not sure what file to be looking in and what needs to be changed to do that.

Thanks

You can, in /Steam/steamapps/common/Eco/Eco_Data/Server/Configs/WorldGenerator.eco
"Dimensions": {
"x": 72,
"y": 72
},

Please note that when changing this you will need to start your server manually via the 64-Bit executable. The singleplayer server started from inside the game uses the 32 bit server and does not support bigger world sizes, it will crash on reaching the memory limit.

Thank you very much for the timely response. So I would need to either have another computer or rent sever space to do that? Is that correct? I have done some reading on it but I'm still trying to understand how that would work.

Thanks again

You can start it on the same computer, but you need to do so manually.

Sorry, i do not understand... my SinglePLayer world size does not increase. I try to change XY to "100" both in "WorldGenerator.eco" file, i try to run "EcoServer32" and "EcoServer". Still the world generate has size in Map 720x720.
Can i ask you for step by step guidance?
1. When creating new planet from inside game it will be always 720x720?
2. What to do if i want bigger world like 1000x1000 just for me single game?

Well, you need to remove the old world before generating a new one.

Yes.

are you talking about the vanilla default planet? i have messed around with the files a lot in SP and i have never had to manually do anything. I always use unique name and random seed. so i am a little confused. and i usually use 200x200 worlds. if you mean the default world or same seed world then it makes more sense. just trying to get some clarity.

Can we have this as a server option by default rather than having to edit files?

Agree, that would help a lot

No, as the 32-bit server that is used for singleplayer does not support increased world sizes.

No option to lock it for 32-bit server and make it available for 64-bit? Just grey-out option for world size change when in 32-bit-mode.

This, or just make 64-bit default? Over 95% of steam gamers (according to the regularly updated steam hardware survey) use 64-bit. I think it would be high time to switch the default as the vast majority of your customers use 64-bit
