2nd Floor-wall connection issue

Currently trying to build a second floor for my house, but when i try to connect the floor to the wall it leaves a gap and refuses to connect.

While I wish it wasn't the case, currently Floor tiles and wall tiles don't connect. To close the gap you have to make that block in the wall a floor tile as well. You can use cube or floor, which ever you think looks better. This has often lead me to use a different material for the floor as I think it looks better when you have to put a floor tile in the wall.

If someone more experienced knows something I don't, I am happy to learn, but so far I haven't found a way to make them connect.

This works as intended. I don't think we have plans to change this, but as we're introducing a multitude of new blocks some of them likely will work as replacement for what you want to do as well.

so how is one suppose to create a multi story house without the gap appearing? We make the wall out of floors or cubes instead of walls?

Yes you have to use floor or cube blocks. It would be nice if it worked as you said you wanted
