The rock drill is broken
when u use the rock drill it cant find ores

It's not broken, there just isn't ore.

Einfach woanders suchen oder tiefer reingraben und dann dort nach unten bohren.
Manchmal dauerts manchmal hat man Glück.

Exactly. There is no ore where OP is searching.

Are the ores still bound to the previous biomes? Boreal used to be for copper and in my world I didn't find any copper ores. The world generated very small pieces of biome (10x10 or so each patch).

Or....the drill doesn't go deep enough. Since the Boreal is mostly a lot higher allocated...

The ore spread is quite similar. On our discord in #general-help there is a user post pinned with more details. It's too long and unformatted to copy it here, but feel free to make a steam guide out of it.
