if you build them close enough you can bypass carrying them by dragging the resouces from one stockpile to the other stockpile, via the storage tabs... and then the workstation will take it from the second stockpile.
which is what i wished it did automatically, then i can achieve full automation between stockpiles/chests that are linked to each other across the whole planet. Currently workstations only take from a stockpile with twelve tiles from it.
Trying to put up a daisy chain of stockpiles and chests don't seem to work the way that I would think they intuitively would.

Looks like there's plenty of files I can adjust (and or screw up) to change things around.
But would suggest making backups of the *.cs files you alter before going overboard … otherwise you could end up with a total CF on your hands. Lol
