How to place ramps?
I have dirt ramps but I'm not sure how to accurately place them. Any tutorials?

The snapping point is the lowest part of the ramp, so you'll want to be aiming at that point. Building from the ground up will be easier, but you'll have to plan out your distances first. For longer ramps that I'm building from the top down, I sometimes stack dirt every 4 blocks so I have a real point to snap to, but that's not always feasible.

Thanks. Gawd, these are really awful to work with. If they're misplaced, I have to remove them by pieces rather than the whole thing.

Yea they need to be updated to be whole blocks are something, fun trick though; if you break a stone ramp you get 4 stone roads, it is more efficent to make stone ramps and break them for roads then to use roads. Also works for aspalt.

Just count 4 spaces to make sure there's not dirt or anything in the way before you place it.

You only need a solid block under the "nose" of the ramp to place it--the rest of it can float in air (new since a few updates ago).

Also, if you aim carefully, you can place a ramp parallel to another ramp (or alongside a solid block) without anything underneath supporting it.

With some practice, you can build hairpin turns up a nearly vertical cliff. (Which are fine for a cart, until you build a steam truck with a much larger turning radius)
