Eco
Question about ECO
Hi there
can it be that the game ECO is no longer supported by Windows 7?
I have now tried several times and every time I go out of the game it does not save it and I do not come back into the game.
thanks lg

Unfortunately for you, the game runs on unity, so the game is supported regardless of windows version. The unity engine is updated for the game to match the latest versions of operating system, GPU driver support, CPU architecture/chipset support and to match the innovations in shaders and lighting currently going on.

Fortunately, it sounds like something simple to fix.

Try this first:

1 - Right click the icon for Eco on your desktop
2 - Select "Run as administrator"
3 - Select "Yes" if you see a pop-up window
4 - Play a single player game, place your tent, chop a tree, grab some logs, hew them, place them in the storage
5 - Now save and exit the game
6 - Repeat steps 1-3 to start the game again, check to see if your save game is there on the continue option, select it and see if it opens

Let me know what your results are and I'll see if i can help further if this doesn't work for you.

Good luck!

We never supported Windows 7 on Steam and its EoL, we cannot guarantee for it to be working anymore, especially as Unity tends to implement breaking stuff for older OS that they only fix very slowly. Upgrading is recommended in any case, as we only officially support Windows 10.

You actually don't need to buy Windows 10. A Windows 7 Key is still upgradable for free, search around in Google a bit :)

As Dennis mentions, you don't need to buy Windows 10 at all. If you go to the first link below, you can download the Official Microsoft© Windows 10 Installation Media Creation Tool. Using this tool, you can install the new operating system from USB, CD, HDD or whatever installation device you want to use.

Before using the media to install windows 10, I would urge you to run Belarc Advisor (second link) to pull your Windows 7 License Key so you may use this to install the equivalent version of Windows 10 and activate it.

I hope this information help you, I know it saved me a few hundred bucks after I bought a Win 7 Pro version and then Win 10 was released shortly after.

Good luck!
