Insufficent Power Grid

My electric machinist table doesn't have enough power to it even though I have two windmills by the building containing it. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?

Windmills provide mechanical power, you need electrical power from more advanced sources.

Like what? I got a steam engine and it said power not supplied to save resources.

I think you need the wind turbine for electrical power.

I am having this same issue! HELP... says power grid disabled generator to save resources. Steam engine has coal in it and it is on.

As mentioned in the other thread, as long as you're providing the correct kind of energy to the table and it's in range, it should have power. That would be very weird (and frustrating) if you had all that in place and still had issues.

not sure if ppl have figured this out yet but when it says power not supplied to save resources it just means if u turn the electrical machine on that needs the power it will then activate the steam engine its a power saving mode thats annoying to figure out hope this helps someone

Yeah, workbenches only use power when you're crafting something on them. If you're powering them with a steam engine (something that uses resources to provide power) Then it'll turn itself off to save fuel.
