And what do you mean by "a mostly furnished house"?
Even with the room reduction, that statue gives 20 points right off the bat. And late game, 100 points more than literally everyone else is still a whole helluva lot. Even if it only gave 20, it would be twice as good as bison mounts which would give you a nice boost, without being ridiculous. Having the statue in an empty room is better than a t1 house. That's not balanced.
Also, you couldn't pay me to believe they legitimately "found" it on the first day.
