mortared stone cannot add stone

we are trying to add stone to the masonry to make mortared stone but it won't let us, even tho we placed enough pitch in it?

Create a stockpile close to the masonry table. Open the masonry table, click the storage tab, click the checkbox for your storage pile. It will pull the materials right from the stockpile. You can link regular storage boxes this way too.

Be sure your Work Station is working, checking Status tab, you need certain volume to room, and possible required material tier walls example.
