SinglePlayer time forwarding ?
Hi, is there anything to skip days in single player mode? Plants need to grow a certain amount of real time but in single player I don't want to wait that long.. Does anyone have an idea?

They plan to add the ability to sleep ahead time via the bed when specifically playing Singleplayer. As well as adding some other skills and such in the same batch of an update. I recommend checking their roadmap and voting it up if this is important to you :)

As the others have said you can also change the growth rate of items in the game via settings.

i dont think there is a time thing, you can set server to day and lock it into day with server commands, as to you might be able to spawn trees/plantss (i have no idea how that actually works however) but the command on wiki says...

/spawnplant,type,amount, so im guessing...

/spawnplant,birch,1 ??

you also have...
/spawnspecies (species)
/spawnanimal (species),(count)

thx for the work around, but I meant "Can we fast forward time", not "set daytime" or "lock time"
you can change the time it takes for things to grow

yes you can. you need to first go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Eco\Eco_Data\Server\Configs

open the ecosim file, i suggest using Notepad++ for this although Notepad works just fine. perform a Find for whatever species tree you are wanting to speed up maturity rate. theres more than one section for each tree species, just keep scrolling down until you see MaturityAgeDays. make your changes,save and exit, enter your world. you won't see the change take effect until you log out and back in a second time, at least i didn't.

i've set mine to 1 day, makes it a lot nicer solo.

@kraft51 you change 0.8 to 1 or you change 0.8 to 0.1

Unless you leave your server running all of the time, setting it to 1.0 means 1 real world day of the server being up, which is still silly. Here are some numbers so you can decide how long you want to wait on things:

1 = one day
0.1 = roughly 2 and 1/2 hours
0.01 = 14.4 minutes

For crops, waiting 0.01 to 0.02 isn't too bad. Trees maybe a bit longer, like 0.04 or 0.05 is good. That is unless you want to wait forever for anything to grow.
