how do i empty out my diggers?

ok .. i'm playing in sp mode and i spawned in the two diggers and they look pretty cool.

now i am wanting to empty them out into the truck.

the only way i have been able to do this is to get out of the digger and manually empty them with a shovel .. is there a button (or way) to empty diggers without having to get out and use a shovel?

If you hold down right click you can also empty. However I would advise only doing that with dirt, Since stone goes all over.

There is no way to empty into say a stockpile or truck though if that's what you're asking unless done by hand.

You can also just open the inventory of the truck or digger and then move the stacks from there. Works well but would not mind a "move all" function of some sort.

if your using the digger for stone/ore set up a blast furnace and mason table with jobs set for iron,copper,gold and on the mason table grind stone to sand and link the diggers storage to them all, they will pull resorces from the digger leaving it empty to dig on

This sucks for dirt, Since it only stacks to 5. So annoying!

Yes please! A move all at least would help tons. I get they want team work with this stuff, But for some, we like to play single player and this would help a bunch!

I am the same as you on this one .. i love to play sp mode in most games as i can take my time and learn what everything does .. so i guess i am saying "Please DEVS give us an ability to move or empty out the inventory of the machines"

First thing I did on filling my digger's slots up was to try and dump it all in the back of the truck, which seemed like the logical solution. Cue rocks and drit tumbling everywhere and the truck doing some chaotic physics reaction to all the colliding objects.

It would seem this would be the logical and cleanest way for the digger and truck to work together though. Shame they didnt set it up this way. Or at least, if the digger's resource slots are full and you've linked a nearby digger's slots, then the digger could "overflow" in to the truck's slots.
