Blast Furnace Operation

I have searched high and low and cannot seem to figure out how to build a proper chimney for the blast furnace. Any tutorial I have found looks like older versions of the game.

I have a proper room and can make ingots, but eventually the output container fills and production stops. To empty it, I simply get on the roof and remove the block above the output pipe on the blast furnace and the output container empties. When I remove this said block, the room is no longer enclosed and the block needs to be replaced to begin production again (to keep the furnace within a room).

I have tried making a brick chimney, with a hole in the center, but it says the room is no longer enclosed around the blast furnace. I am sure I am just missing a simple thing, but for the life of me I cannot figure it out. I shall wait for an Eco genius to visit my discussion to enlighten me. Thank you in advance and I apoligize if such a discussion was already made, but I did not find anything relevant.

Anvil create iron pipe use hammer to put pipe from top of furnace through roof, you can also use copper or steel pipe, or connect multiple machines via pipes

Yea, it effects my ocd a tad basically you have hole in ceiling but the pipe registers as a full block. That piccy was the best design I could achieve in the end

I hear that, about the ocd. I just didn't know the pipe through the ceiling would act like a seal. Again man, thanks a lot! I appreciate the good help. :)
