Help please?

So I'm not sold on this game yet, and might return it. I'm just wondering what the problem is here.
I'm on the second level of the tutorial, and so far I haven't really learned too much, but the game said to make some new rooms, and let time fly to make some money. I did this, but there's only been one guy that stayed at the hotel, despite me adding double bed rooms, and a whole floor more of rooms. I've letting time go at the fastest possible speed.

Is there something I'm missing? Why is the game not giving me any customers? Considering I haven't even got out of the tutorial and I'm having problems, I'm kind of skeptical about whether this game can be good :S, looks like it could be fun though.

This is a year old question but thought others might have the same problem because I sure did, and I just managed to beat it. Yeah, it doesn't really give you a lot of information. I set my deluxe to $300 a night and built doubles that were exactly the same as the pre-made standard rooms for $100 a night. I bet you can probably just swap out the standards with two single beds for double beds because I couldn't keep them occupied at all and beat it a lot faster than I did.

I got stuck like you when i first played the game when it cames out in 2009, This time i got my rooms filled the first month (playing hotel in paris scenario). I placed a restaurant/cafe and Set up a few packs to get my rooms filled. Set a pack (eg. 3 nights 3breakfasts) then propose it less than its value and people will come in your hotel.
