HP Reverb G2 Controller issues
Hi, I have multiple small issues with Controller Binding:

1. the X and Y and the A and B button are both somehow regarded as the same button when doing bindings in VD

2. the joysticks on both hands are completely ignored. I would have expected to at least be able to scroll up/down webpages (works in Virtual Desktop Dashboard) or have them bound to the arrow keys of a keyboard. Also, I cannot bind the joystick press button to anything in VD.

This results in me only able to use a fraction of the available physical controls to interact with VD. Could this be fixed by a custom SteamVR controller binding? If so, how? Which are the slots that VD uses? - I didn't find a Community Binding.

But I very much like VD. I use it laying down to watch videos and play browser games. Always using Touch Input Mode to be able to scroll.

I support WMR headsets through SteamVR so it should work correctly in theory. I didn’t try the G2 myself so perhaps other users can chime in.

SteamVR will have a controls binding layer, mapping hardware buttons to 'SteamVR virtual buttons', which is what's made available to software. G2 controls tend to default to several buttons being mapped to the same input.

Hi, same problem here. It's not SteamVR, other apps works fine for me. Only VD does not.
same here. I see updates saying there is an on screen kb when pressing x but nothing happens.

You are looking at the wrong update information. The app on Quest is not the same as the Steam app.

You could activate the Windows On-Screen Keyboard in Settings -> Ease of Access -> Keyboard. But it is ugly.
OVR Toolkit has a nice moveable VR keyboard.
