Does this or will this ever support the Avegant Glyph?

Probably not.

Its not a VR headset, its a portable display. Just plug it in. Its a bit different than the current VR headsets, and is definitely a very very niche product.

It has an opaque stereoscopic display with head tracking. What else does it need to qualify as a "VR headset"?

Glyph is better suited for this.
It is portable
Has great pixel density
Easier desktop use with the peripheral vision of the real world
In my opinion this is the software the glyph needs to become real great work tool with the headtracking enabled:
Letting head movement change the point of focus making it a giant virtual screen.

This software will get an instant recommendation from me if the Glyph gets supported.

Has anyone tried this with the glyph? Or does it detect Rift/Vive hardware like Bigscreen? For me this would be a boon as I have wanted to used the Glyph as a monitor replacement for ages. It has a 9 axis IMU so I think head tracking could be used to look around with ease.
