How to hide everything but the background?
I know I can miniimize all my windows, remove all icons from desktop, hide task bar and then set VD to be transparent, but how can I just hide everything all at once? There must be a way. If I want to watch a 360 video or look at 360 pictures or even just look at the background, how can I hide the desktop and all windows?

No answer, but I came to ask a similar thing. Full screen programs (of course) get the full virtual view, but it doesn't seem very easy to focus attention on an actual window without having extraneous stuff around the edges. http://imgur.com/P1k8s0Z

I don't expect this is necessarily something that needs be part of this program, but there's probably some trick out there for... something like treating a window as if it's running full screen with a big border around the actual window contents.

When you look at 360 photos or videos, the overlay should disappear within a few seconds if you don't move your mouse. As for completely hiding the desktop when not in 360 photos or videos, this is not currently possible.

However, the screenshots on the front page of the application are showing transparent backgroung. Can you explain how you did that ?

Enable the transparent option and click Clear Wallpaper

Love this app the only problem I have with it is that I work at sea and I think because there is a slight movement in the vessel the base stations are being detected as movement like a mouse as mentioned earlier
So the overlay does not disappear
It would be great to have a way to manually over ride to force it to disappear because at the moment the app is useless for watching 360vr in this situation
Any help to overcome this problem would really be appreciated

Mmm, that's starting to be what they call "Edge cases" :P What you could do is physically flip the mouse so the laser points up when watching a video?

Or perhaps I can add a keyboard shortcut to toggle the screen (and overlay), it's been requested in the past.

I wouldn't mind having a button to toggle the screen . It would be nice so that bumping the mouse on accident would not cause the overlay to pop up .
