Get Banned In Games For Using Virtual Desktop?
During some excessive alt+tabbing, I discoverd a Command Prompt window called something along the lines of "VirtualDesktopHook32.exe".

I've known some other programs like vorpx or any camera hack tools that aren't used for cheating, to accidentally flag up cheat software search software found in some games like CS:GO etc.

Was wondering if by playing online games through Virtual Desktop, is it possible to flag those camera hook checks made by anti-cheat software, and possibly get banned?

The hook might just grab a windows program for its visuals, but I'm worried that it's hooking onto game executables, and might trigger a cheat flag in an online game :(

Any thoughts/knowledge on the subject?
Possibly answers from the Developer on how this works and if there's anything to worry about?

This is 100% speculation on my part, but I believe VirtualDesktop is using the same stuff that Fraps or OBS use to capture the content of your desktop to record it or stream it. If that is so any Anti-Cheat software that banned the use of OBS or Fraps would quickly get huge backlash from the community and would be quickly patched.

I feel it is very unlikely you will get banned for it.

It is hooking into the game executables when the game is running in fullscreen mode so it can be picked up by anti-cheat software. But it isn't doing anything different than OBS as leftler mentioned so its not likely to be an issue.

Btw to prevent those hook windows from showing up, start Virtual Desktop directly from the executable rather than from Steam. They end up stealing focus and causing issue.

Thanks for clearing things up!
