Virtual Desktop
Passthrough or overlay keyboard
I just upgraded from a Cosmos to Vive Pro 2 headset and am amazed that in this "pro" headset advertised for both fun and productivity that there isn't any info on how to see my keyboard. I just got off live chat with Vive and naturally they want to take no responsibility for it and say it is in the hands of software developers. I pointed out that it would be very nice if it was integrated into the Vive software so it could be used in any VR program and they were just like "yeah that would be great wouldn't it". LOL

Anyway I have done quite a bit of searching and as far as I can tell this isn't really a thing in any software other than the Immersed app for Occulus Quest 2. Which is super annoying that a headset that costs a quarter as much has a super valueable feature that I cannot find for my "pro" "productivity" focused setup.
Am I missing something? Is it possible to do this in Virtual Desktop?
If not why isn't this more common in VD or elsewhere?
It seems like it would be about as easy as anything to have it recognize a black keyboard with white letters to create a passthrough or overlay.

The Oculus Quest line supports passthrough keyboards. It’s in development at the moment for the native app on the Quest store. Doing this for low volume headsets like Vive Pro would be an insane amount of work and not something planned.
