Virtual Desktop with Matterport
HI Guy,
I wish to use Matterport (https://matterport.com/) with my oculus rift. It not compatible as yet, But I believe your software may be the answer for it to be.
What I need is the matterport demo/photo to go 360 in the oculus rift glasses. Meaning I dont want to see the outline of the screen. I want it to be similar to how you present your 360 photos.
The only issue is movement from my place to another.

Can your software do this? if not any ideas how.

Kane

You just need to find a way to download the 360 photos to your computer, then drag & drop them into Virtual Desktop. This will work if the 360 photos are equirectangular.

Matterport dont allow for download like this.
Any way the browser can do full 360?

Doesn't look like they support downloading the 360 photos directly so not much we can do.

Matterport doesn't use actual 360 photos per se, their cameras generate photo-mapped 3d models (i.e. photogrametry captures). Unfortunately they remain in a proprietary format.
