Steam Virtual Desktop shows black screen when trying to view streamed video but audio is fine

Having an issue with VD. I can see my desktop and the actual app. But I cannot see any video (except for regular YouTube). I can't see video on the website (full episodes of stuff I watch), sometimes Amazon Prime works on the site or app, and sometimes it won't. Really weird is that I have YouTube TV. It won't show anything but a black screen.

I also no longer have any backgrounds. I only see the the app and my desktop monitor, and now only the black and white passthtough. I had the bat cave and study installed but I can’t see of the standard options backgrounds.

I have disabled the Windows Night light, and I use the Oculus Tray tool which really helps everything.

I have an Rift S, AMD system, 5600xt GPU, 2600x CPU, and a bad-ass rig.


Any ideas why and how to fix it?

As the FAQ says, you need to use Firefox to watch streaming services as other browsers have DRM that prevent the screen from being captured.
