Virtual Desktop

Full SBS and half SBS buttons don't do anything
I've been trying to watch some 16:9 SBS videos and they keep coming out squished into 4:3. I tried using the full and half SBS buttons but they don't do anything to the video. Messed around with a few other settings too but I couldn't get anything to work.
I'm running windows 10 x64, HTC Vive, Geforce 1080, i7 4770k, 16 GB ram.
Any ideas?
thanks

The SBS options are for playing videos in your regular video player, not the integrated one
(The integrated video player is for 360 videos). Just play your videos in VLC or Windows media player then hit F6 or F7 to toggle SBS mode.

Okay well the problem I'm having is that when watching 3D SBS videos with my HTC vive, they are squished horizontally. They should be in the 16:9 aspect ratio but it looks more like they are being displayed in 4:3, making the image distorted.

Use the Half-SBS option rather than Full-SBS.

The half SBS option has no effect on the picture when I'm viewing it through my HTC Vive. None of the 3D options do (except SBS direct, which makes the video dissappear). I sometimes get a mouse trail over the picture, and the full/half SBS options effect the mouse trail but not the video. I am playing the video through the "360 videos" section with the side by side video mode and video projection set to fisheye at 90 degrees. No playback options are checked, other settings are default. I am using a multi-montior setup if it makes a difference.

Like I said the SBS options that appear in the settings tab are for videos played through your own video player such as VLC, Windows Media Player, etc.

Open your video like you normally do on your PC, make it full screen then press F6

Oh! I see what you're saying. Still, it would be nice if Virtual Desktop's built in player worked properly, so I could use the "play with Virtual Desktop" context menu option. Vive controller support would also be very nice so I wouldn't have to keep taking off the headset.
Playing in an external media player does work, with the half SBS option.
