Games Not Launching in VR on Quest 2
Hi,

I have installed virtual desktop via the Quest 2 shop as well as installed the patch on the quest 2 via SideQuest, and installed by Virtual Desktop Streamer on my PC.

When launching games via the games tab in virtual desktop on the Quest 2 with Virtual Quest Streaming and Steam VR open on my PC, the games are displayed in 2D on a large screen as if i'm playing a video or a non-VR game, and in this window only part of the screen is visible.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance!

Make sure you disconnect any other PCVR headsets connected to your computer. If you don’t have any, try restarting the Streamer as Administrator

Thanks for you prompt reply! Run as admin has solved that issue for all the gamesI tested, except for Creed: Rise to Glory which I have to launch from the SteamVR home for it to work.

I'm still running into an issue with it, though; it's rendering the same image in both the left and the right eye, is this a fault on the end of VD or SteamVR?

Most Survios games have issues, see compatibility list for details: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1gRbhMw-8PDl1m2ujs_uWaxMeFxjWjihKtRjFGpd-nFY/edit#gid=2101885392

Ok thanks again! I'll just use link or ALVR for Creed, then. :)

Starting the streaming client as admin solved this very stubborn problem for me. I am wondering what causes it in the first place and if I can reset permissions to get rid of it?

If you are administrator on your machine, you shouldn’t have this issue. You might only need to run the Streamer as admin once to have everything setup correctly
