Virtual Desktop

Virtual Desktop

Whites too bright and other issues
To preface this, I'll say that I'm using the Oculus Quest version of Virtual Desktop and am loving it so far. Although I've experimented with playing a few non-vr PC games on my Quest using Virtual Desktop, I'm currently using it mostly for web browsing. Which brings up my only real complaint. Websites with a white or off white background are painfully bright. Not sure what can be done about this though, since every VR app I've tried for web browsing has the same issue.

I'm also wondering if there will be additional virtual environments added. The current ones are okay, but there's just something surrealistic about being able to browse the internet on an alien planet, in a magical village, or under the ocean. The current options of "computer desk", "home theater", "cinema screen", "nebula", and "blank void" feel a bit limiting.

Initially I had thought the input lag was too extreme, making using Virtual Desktop for anything other then web browsing or writing virtually (ha) impossible. But today's patch appears to have fixed that issue.

You can lower the brightness of the screen in Oculus Home or enable “night display”

Yes there will be more environments added in future updates
