21:9 Ultrawide SBS support?
I went and searched through the previous discussions I could find about ultrawides, and aside from some posting about ultrawide generally in 2016, and a literal couple posts since that didn't really answer the question, how does VD handle SBS stereoscopy on a 21:9 monitor? (3440x1440 specifically, though I guess 2560x1080 for people who have them as well)
That's literally the only reason I need a dedicated "Desktop viewer in VR" program as all other functionality I'd need can be found elsewhere, except for literally that one thing.
Rather not spend the cash for this only to find out it's completely broken, so thank you for any potential answers ahead of time, in the event this does get answered.

It only supports SBS with 16:9 or 16:10 monitors. Workaround is to change your monitor resolution to a 16:9 one

That's exactly the opposite of what I need unfortunately. Why such a arbitrary restriction? If I wanted to be restricted to 16:9 to play games, I'd play on a console.

That’s because most movies are 16:9, it’s not arbitrary

Looking through my collection of movies (and one TV special) I have the 3D versions of, out of all 13 of them, three were 16:9, and literally every single other one was 21:9. I'd think that's quite indicative of the whole, given it's usually only major releases that get the stereoscopic treatment, and more often than not major releases are filmed in a 'cinematic' 21:9.
Plus while 3D movies are definitely a part of why I wanted to get into the whole VR thing, beyond the native VR games out there, a large proportion was to play 'normal' games in 3D, which given the virtual nature of all of this would seem pretty restricting to make 16:9 a hard requirement. Especially when I'm playing basically every modern game IRL in 2D at 21:9.

Also, the "arbitrary" wasn't to the choice of locking SBS support to 16:9 specifically, the "arbitrary" was to the fact there's a lock to a specific aspect ratio for SBS to work at all in the first place. Seems like the exact same sort of thing when a developer makes the physics in a game tied to the framerate, so any framerate that isn't 30 completely breaks the game, it just seems like a entirely unnecessary restriction.

To anybody who might find this post later, while 21:9 support is completely and utterly broken for SBS content, it seems to work just fine for over/under. Though strangely there is no over/under full height option like there is for SBS, half height only.
Not optimal as in certain situations SBS is the only option, but at least it's something for those with preferences for non-16:9 aspect ratios.
