cannot connect to quest headset anymore
i own a quest headset and i bought it on the quest store, the first time i had ran this program it ran fine. no problems whatsoever, tonight i quit the program, turn off my headset. 30 minutes later i get back on, and now it no longer wants to connect to my pc.

it either stays stuck on measuring bandwidth, or refuses to connect.

my pc will go black, discord will detect the headset audio, and the pc resolution will shrink, but the vr headset does not give me the desktop.

what do? it ran fine before, now it doesn't wanna work. i tried restarting headset/pc multiple times, did not work.

Could be a driver update that caused this. What GPU do you have?

Make sure you don't have F.Lux or the windows night light enabled on your computer. Check that HDR mode is turned off.

both of those are disabled, i also updated my intel drivers, did not change anything.

Apologies if this is a daft question, but are you actually running Virtual Desktop, or is it just on your task bar? If it's just on your taskbar then it won't connect to your wifi.
I made this mistake once.

the actual app pops up like a normal window, it's not just from the task bar.

finally resolved the issue, although it was not normal at all.

factory rested the quest, uninstalled everything on my pc related to vr, installed it again, did the process again debugging and stuff and virtual desktop still refused to work. sidequest worked fine, it streamed fine to it to my headset and i could see my headset vr camera on the pc, but virtual desktop did not work. still got the same error of "measuring bandwidth" and it stayed stuck on that, and it did the same thing. shrinked my resolution, discord detected audio and mic, and when i quit the program my pc returned to normal. VD/PC was detecting it, just not being able to process it properly i guess.

i tried again and again and it finally worked normally instantly. i spent an hour trying to fix this, finally did it, and it is 2 am and i no longer wanna play with it lol. i have 19 ms response and 5ghz connection.

edit: 4 days of messing with this lol
