Virtual Desktop

Sounds lag with Virtual Desktop when playing RPCS3
I got very bad sounds lag when using these two together, sounds was normal when Virtual Desktop not opened. Is there any conflict on sounds cards or coding ? Any settings can helps ?

I already select on the sounds setting instead of using Virtual Desktop sound, using my Sounds Card output but problem still the same.

What headset do you have and kind of computer? To prevent Virtual Desktop from redirecting audio (which can add lag), make sure to uncheck “Use Virtual Audio Driver” and disable Positional Audio. If you have a Rift, manually select Rift Headphones as the default playback device in Windows.

Same here, happened in Virtual Desktop Dashboard while playing music. Had to uncheck “Use Virtual Audio Driver”. Vive Pro. Asus PRIME Z370-A.

The Dashboard doesn’t do any audio redirection FYI but glad you got it working by unchecking the Virtual Audio Driver option. It’s impossible for me to test all the hardware combinations so that’s why the option was added.

Hybrid laptops like the one you have will require the desktop image to go through RAM and bring down the performance. One solution is to try and change the preferred graphics processor to Nvidia GPU in the Nvidia Control Panel (see here[i.imgur.com]). Alternatively you can try setting it to iGPU and compare.

There’s nothing else that can be done here unfortunately other than playing on a desktop PC or using a more powerful laptop. You could try to increase the CPU priority of RPCS3 in Task Manager.

The fps for games i play is always 60 fps , the problem is just the sounds stuttering .

I 'm not an IT guy but my guess is that there 's conflict between the games and the VR app on Steam. I tried both Big Screen and VD and both apps have the same sounds problem
