Virtual Desktop

[Oculus Go]
I recently purchased the app and cannot connect my pc. I have tried my Go on both 2.4 and 5.0. My desktop is either connected through Ethernet (wall adapter) or 5.0 wireless. I have tried every combination of these. I have also tried reinstalling the app on both go and desktop. I reformatted my go with no luck. I have disabled my firewall and closed all VPN and antivirus programs. Still cannot connect. My Go detects my pc, it just can't establish a connection. My desktop is dual monitor setup with both 4k and 1440p (I am unsure if this is causing an issue). Any ideas?

The fact that your computer appears in the Computers list on the headset doesn’t mean that it can see the computer because a cloud server is used to register/query computers.

Make sure your computer is on the same network as your headset:
- Open a command prompt on your computer and type: ipconfig (write down the IPv4 address and subnet mask)
- In your headset, open the Oculus Browser and go to: whatismyip.com (write down the Local IPV4 address)

If the adresses are not on the same network, that would explain why it can’t connect. Reach out to me by email and I’ll be happy to help: guy@vrdesktop.net
