[REQUEST] CRT-style Theater Mode?
This is going to be a strange feature request, but its something I was thinking about for a long time. One quirk about playing older games/videos on modern machines is that most monitors are flat widescreen panels. 4:3 content like games and videos show off black bars and certain content don't look right without some sort of composite/phosphor/etc. effect to smooth out gradiants or dithering effects.

Currently theres another VR program that allows you to do something similar:

But I was wondering- wouldn't Virtual Desktop be ideal for this sort of thing too? Offering an optional theater setup to simulate a curved CRT screen can be something cool for people looking to play older 4:3 content without keeping a physical CRT around.

Let me know what you guys think.

There are some environments in the Workshop that are similar to this: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1124201159&searchtext=

If you set your desktop resolution to 4:3 (to match the mesh) then the black bars should disappear

Interesting!

Is there no way around this?
