Can't play high res video files anymore

I used to be able to play high res video files, specifically 5400x2700. I have a gtx1080 and i5 4670k@4.4Ghz. I don't know what changed but now it's very laggy suddenly

Nothing changed in Virtual Desktop regarding video playback. Check your third party codecs. I use the k-lite codec pack version 13.6.0 from October here and have no issues.

Same, the same thing here. I have a GTX970 and the performance of SBS 2560x1440 videos have greatly decreased.

Is the performance bad when you move the mouse or is it bad when the controller/mouse don’t move as well?

The latest SDKs have slightly higher GPU usage but if the controllers aren’t used, it should be the same as before.

Yeah the mouse lags too when you move it when a video is playing. I have a gtx1080 so I doubt it isnt powerful enough.

For now, try turning off MSAA, I’ll look into this performance issue in January.

Doesnt change anything, I'm not saying it's vd btw I Don't know either. maybe there is something wrong with my pc, I thought maybe you would know a solution. Anyway have a good christmas!

Try k-lite basic version 13.6.0 from October, that’s the one I use and don’t have any problems. Merry Christmas to you as well!

GPU surpassing 30% (sometimes 40%)
CPU exceeds 50% with a video at 2560x1440

Having the same issue all of a sudden, using the 13.6.0 codec pack. Hoping a fix can be made.

Mobius: What headset, GPU and CPU do you have? What graphics options are enabled in VD?
Also what GPU driver version?
