Virtual Desktop

Nvidia 3d vision?
So I've read somewhere that there is this feature planned for Virtual Desktop? That would be awesome, I've tried Tridef 3d but it's very demanding for PC and there are problems with planes and UI in games. With native 3d games it should be much better.

Any update on this by chance?

There are so many friends of mine jumping at the chance to check out the loads of 3D vision mods out there, but don't have 120/144hz monitors and are instead wanting to experience 3D in VR for the first time. 3D vision in Virtual Desktop would be the ultimate combination.

3D Anaglyph support is in the current version. This is the only mode possible since the other ones require special hardware and IR interface.

So we can now play in 3d games like Arkham Asylum on Virtual Desktop?

Yep, just setup Nvidia 3D vision with Discover Glasses and enable the Anaglyph option in Virtual Desktop once you’ve enabled 3D Vision mode.
Nice, thanks.
What about the possibility of adding row interleaved format under 3D Options, alongside Full/Half SBS and Over Under?
@ggodin:

Thanks for the reply! Since it's not possible without the hardware, is there a possibility that you guys can add support for those of us that do have the hardware already?

Also does Anaglyph work with the 3D fixes (helix/3dmigoto mods)?

Thanks.

No it’s not possible even if you have the hardware; the VR headset doesn’t have a way to emulate the shutter glasses.

As for row interleaved output I haven’t looked into it but it would require hacking the EDID of the monitor somehow to make it think it’s a 3D TV. Fun project for the future maybe but not something I’m planning in the short term.
Does the anaglyph 3d , require red blue glasses or does it remove the red blue coloring from each eye?

It doesn’t require glasses.
I know this is an older thread, but I am considering purchasing your software and love playing in 3D with my 3D Vision 2 glasses on my monitor. Since you are using the anaglyph option, are the colors correct or are they only the red and cyan harsh colors we would see on the monitor?

It’s red in the left eye and cyan in the right, it’s a bit harsh on the eyes sadly. Games that provide SBS output out of the box will give a much better experience than Anaglyph
It would be great if VD could convert anaglyph to SBS.

You can give a 3Dmigoto a shot. It did not work for me though.

Other than that, since the last driver update nvidia dropped the 3D Vision driver.

Milan

SBS should work with 3D migoto. Just install 3d fix manager by paul dusler to get the options open for each game. Set monitor to Side by Side in the control panel of that program.
Most of the 3D Vision modders are in the 3D Vision Discord in case they can help further: https://discord.gg/tXHYhNK
