Where ist the CD-Key?

I just purchased VD on steam to use it within steam and oculus home. But i cannot find the cd-key to redeem it in oculus home.

The Key is not shown at start and i have no option to show a cd-key with right click on VD in steam. Is there any solution?

Maybe the Problem ist that i first used VD before purchasing it from my brothers family account. It was when test if the oculus works on my PC.

The third-party key was removed on March 24th by Valve as they don't allow us to provide keys for another store anymore.

I think in this case you should update the shop information. The redeem key was my argument to pay the higher price at steam. So i will give it back and buy again elswhere. Sorry.

I'm not aware of any place where it mentions it comes with a key, can you tell me where you see this so I can remove it? Thanks!

The higher price (15 vs 14) is because it gives access to the workshop environments which you won't have if you buy on the Oculus store for example.

At the shop, just under the update infos:

"NOW AVAILABLE!

Virtual Desktop is now available to Play! The first time you launch it, you will be prompted with a key. This key lets you redeem the app on Oculus Home (if you have a Rift) through Settings -> Account -> Redeem Code. ..."

And do not missunderstand me, i like the swoftware and its worth the price. And also i like the your fast answers, not always ist support so good.

Yeah, I just did the same thing because it popped up in a Reddit post. Didn't notice the thread was from forever ago.

oculus shop sucks, just buy stuff here, there is more features. like a good workshop, in oculus there is no workshop , and to get a refund is very very hard.
