quite literally unplayable

Mindshow is a Early Access free program that lets you make movies using VR. It don't work, it closed it's doors.

Don't bother to download.

I want to use this game as my footage but i cannot. This game does not support valve index controllers and it says it does. Pls fix

NOT PLAYABLE ON VALVE INDEX

This used to be one of my favorite apps and I have actually created quite a bit of fun content on it. Then I upgraded from an HTC Vive to a Valve Index, which the page says it supports. It is not optimized for the Index knuckles and thus unplayable. I could not even figure out how to move myself around the environment. It also appears to have been abandoned as the last update was in April of 2019. A real shame, I hope it gets back on track someday. Actually really upset that it does not work for me anymore... not upset enough to downgrade my VR kit for it, but really, in this day and age of Social Distancing, the ability to make videos that Mindshow offers would be a great asset. One I would be willing to pay for...

They could have had a good tool here but they kept the community at arms length. They treated them like second class people.It started to show its ugly head when they decided they could take any video they liked off youtube. Now over on another better tool that isnt so up its own bottom and treating its user base like arse hats

If you want to make something from scratch with modeling rigging and export to fbx and use this as a first step previs, that's not the app because none of these functions are included.

This program looked like it had a ton of potential for making some hilarious content, but I had to bail when it demanded direct access to my youtube channel and then then attempted to force upload a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ video to get past the tutorial.

Cool your jets, guys. Let me futz around in it before you start throwing random trash online on my behalf.

I would recommend this title if it worked at all. I cannot export anything that I make because the game 1. Freezes 2/3 of the time while exporting or 2. It exports audio only, no video.

This is a known issue on their site, it is the PRIMARY function of the application to export these videos--- I am nld ot sure why this issue hasn't been addressed as a top priority. Looking around online it seems to be quite common, though they speak to the rarity of the issue.

I have sent the Dev a debug log, but will let the Dev remote into my machine if they'd like if they think it could help solve the issue for the community.

The tool itself is amazing but it's mixed with a horrible, omnisocial user experience philosophy. The UI prevents you from deleting or unsharing anything that you create. It's all up there forever and completely beyond your control.

Essentially the first thing you're cajoled into doing is creating and publicly posting a video. I get that the majority of the country can't wait to share/comment/like/re-tweet/stream every aspect of their day, but some of us just want a break from the social media circus to relax with friends, or to have a tool to pursue our own personal artistic interests and distribute on our own terms.
