Best way to farm exp?

I use to play dragonica back in the days and i just farmed F7 modes till level 72. Im told now its not the best way to farm exp ?

You gotta do most hero quests in the game as most content as been locked behind quests now. When you dont have any hero quests, you can grind in dungeons, with expert modes.
Most people run Verdorous Forest.

so literally don't even do any yellow quests?

You can if you have time to waste. I think they're really worth doing from 1 to 40.
