North Pole

When on the North Pole on my iOS device, the routes available are Reykjavik and Gastown (left or right). On PC, the route to Reykjavik is unavailable and it takes you to a place in the midnorth of Canada. Why has the route to Reykjavik been removed?

We moved the second route from the Pole from Reykjavik to somewhere else. We have a reason. More than that would be spoilers!

Definitely. The North Pole was never the fastest route.

I finished a North Pole trip on iOS in 39 days. Any clues as to which route to take on PC to make it any faster?

You can't avoid it entirely, but you can mitigate the injuries quite a bit, enough for the rescue to arrive. The secret is to befriend the crew in somewhat particular ways. There are four possible friendships that can help, you need at least three of them (or special items in your inventory) to keep Fogg alive long enough..

I actually believe there are 5 possible crew members to help you but you still only need 3. 2 of them are overlapped, as in if you befriend one, you can't (orbit'# at least difficult to) befriend the other. It's the whaling crew, the guy you can romance (I think his name is Vitti?) the stowaway, the captain, and the cook.
