A Question
If I remember rightly, in Jules Gabriel Verne's original work, there was supposed to be an Indian lady to rescue halfway. Does the game include that?

I do not believe Aouda is featured in the game - certainly not in the way of Verne's novel. That said, there are quite a few ladies to meet/rescue in the game. I think the Black Rose uses Aouda as one of her aliases.

Yes, still a few ladies there though. And where can I meet Black Rose?

The Black Rose is a lengthy chain - it doesn't exist in all the spawns. If it exists in your current game, it starts on the journey from London to Paris. From there, you have to visit one of the cities in India, and after that head towards Buenos Aires.
She does indeed use Aouda as an alias :)
I finished the Black Rose storyline only yesterday, it seems its not enough just to travel to Buenos Aires, you need to receive a hint that she will indeed be there; she leaves a hint in the Times that she's heading that way.
On other playthroughs I missed this hint, and she didn't show up at all or in Africa later, pissed that you "betrayed" her.
So its a bit tricky/annoying storyline, but its one of the coolest at the same time IMO.

Actually, you're wrong. You can indeed meet an "Indian princess Aodha" by taking one of the two mechianical elephant routes from Benares or Allahabad to Calcutta. You can't miss her on those routes. The event with her starts exactly like in the novel, and then it takes a twist ;). Let's just say Aodha is not so much of a damsel in distress.
