In my mind, this game is a gem, so I'm a bit biased. :-p
It is very enjoyable though; I do love travelling and all the more so since I've played the game - the narrative is very vivid and not only does it give you choices at major events, but at deciding a lot of minor details as well; in fact, most of your choices are minor ones which will then shape your bigger ones in an almost organic way. This means you're constantly bombarded with opportunities to discoves places in detail and the game rewards you generously with a snapshot or a part of the people's lives and surroundings at any particular location.
E. g. I went into a conversation with a total stranger on one of my holidays aboard precisely because it flashed before me that I would do the same in 80 Days and it would usually lead to a great chat - and, sure enough, the real life counterpart led to a fascinating conversation as well: it was with a woman in Dubrovnik who was writing a book about the history of the city and she told me about it while I helped her photograph something in the harbour; a full '80 Days-like' episode but one that unfolded due to my curious questions which I wouldn't have posed had I not played the game. In short, 80 Days taught me to take my chances and to appreciate foreign sights and smells even better; I can only recommend it.
Yes, this game has a lot of replayability. Taking new paths across the world, it's like having 4 completely different story builds for one game. And by 4 I mean 40, or 400.
My personal problem with the game is, that its a little bit TOO novelly for my liking. I dont mind reading, but I wish it also had more unique art (still art would be ok) to beef everything up. Like "King of Dragon Pass" had, which is still the #1 eternal king of this genre.
This is an interactive book with many great stories, but not that much of a game.
Is it still on sale now? Can you link me please?
It's the low option, you get Her Story and Worms as well for 1 USD
Edit: Just saw you got it, hopefully that was helpful :)
Thanks so much man, I was waiting to see if this game went on sale and it finally did!
If it wasnt for you I likely would'nt have even known - many thanks.
After playing 90 mins of the game so far I can confidently say that if you love the book you will love this game!!
There seem like infinite routes to explore, and every one of your decisions seem to impact the story.
I played non stop for an hour and a half and I only made it into Asia so far, I have had so much fun along the way and highly recommend this game!
But, this game seems very intriguing and I'm loving it so far. I take it as a sign that more in-depth games like this will probably be getting the at least stills, if not outright animation, for complex adventures like this.
I play a lot of different types of games, from point-and-click adventures / RPGs, to hack-n-slash cinematic epics, to FPSs, to driving sims... I like a lot of different types of games.
This game is great, I HIGHLY recommend it, but it could be SO MUCH MORE as stated. And I would think it even more awesome.

Will you guys be getting a Steam launch for that one as well?
The more I play 80 Days the better it gets. It's just incredible how much interesting detail is included in what is deceptively a very complex game.
It's not as simple as it looks..
It's easy to play, but hard to master..
Phileas is a prim prude prone to prostration.. Good Lord, Man, buck up!!! Sheesh.
I'm loving the hellfire outta this!!! :-)
Brav-damn-O!
