Joystick in linux
Hi, I have just bought this simulator to play in linux. I have a Devo10 RC controller, that can emulate a joystick by USB. I can play OK with it in windows and linux with other games, but it dont get recogniced by RC Simulation 2.0 in linux.
Im on Gentoo linux, all my Steam Linux games work greate and crrcsim opensource simulator works with my controller.

Hi, do you can play the game?
I have installed, but I don't find the cars and the tracks.

Hey MarkU, I can't answer that as i use a Mac book pro with a PS3 controller. And Pientro, your kind of a newbie at this point and should go on youtube and search *WhyBeAre RC simulation* as he plays the game from the starting screen and should show you how to get around a little bit.

@pietro, yes I have played the game, no problem, I can play the game, but only keyboard in linux. In windows, the RC control is recogniced, so I can play with bouth, keyboard and joystick.
@kindness, thanks, Devo10 is an RC control that emulates a joystick with conected to a PC. In windows works ok, but in linux not :(

any solution to this yet?

according to their website rcsimulation com/game-info/:
Controllers:
Any controller can be used with RCSIM. Keyboard, XBOX360 for PC, PS3, etc. Though most prefer using a real rc radio via USB-PC (Not available for Linux or Mac as of 7-18-15) adapter. These are readily available for todays real rc transmitters. This is the best way to drive RC SIM 2.0. You will not only have the most control on these super fast machines but will gain the most from practicing with the same remote as you use in real life. Adapters for almost all of today’s RC transmitters can be found with a simple google search. Just google “transmitter to USB” or “USB RC Transmitter adapter”.

will this be implemented in the future?

I do not own a Devo Controller and have never tried one but I will look into this. ;)

I only use windows when I am using a custom controller like one of my RC Tranmitters. I honestly didnt know linux supported ANY "USB" RC Transmitters. I dont think there are too many other RC Sims that run in linux are there?

Here is a list of all the "supported controllers" that RC Sim should work with.... Most of the RC Controllers are all different and require them to be mapped in the input mapper area. I am making a short youtube series of videos that will cover mapping a custom controller, Building a custom track and some other stuff important stuff..... Stay tuned.
