the thing you are not understanding is: why are people against having move lgbt stuff in games? has nothing to do with prejudice as most people are completely fine with the existence of gay people or trans or whatever they want to be, but its the fact that you will not keep it to yourself, you must display it everywhere and everyone must see it in the things they enjoy when it does'nt have to be there. It is forced in there so that a minority can "feel" represented, when the game itself has nothing to do with sexual preference or body modification, its about people trying not to die from monsters and killers in a typical horror themed survival game. so where does david king being gay fit into all of that? it doesnt at all infact all that info does is some others like him, and most others dislike him for being a representative rather than just a character.
David is Canonically Gay as confirmed by the devs in a news post on the website prior to the release of TOME 11, you can have a look at it here: https://deadbydaylight.fandom.com/wiki/Tome_11_-_Devotion#David_King:_The_Importance_of_Being_King
