As for the drawings, glad to see most folks are enjoying them! While we haven't yet found time to send our designers through art school, the designer working on this wanted to do their best to convey things in a way where people who are more visual can understand better.
Please don't break your backs over a redesign. Consider the simple adjustments I've suggested.

You really, really don't have to go through this whole complicated redesign, she's OKAY how she is, she just needs her second scan line back, and a rearrangement of the affects. If scanning just exposes, and you don't get claw trapped unless you tamper with the drones, Skull Merchant would be PEAK.

Half the problem was that drones JUST SCANNING gave the important benefits. it wasnt interactive and was a pain for all parties involved. also it's a DRONE. meant to be piloted and flown around. and now the DRONE CAMERAS can actually be used as drones and cameras, as opposed to just... passive scanning entirely dependent on if you're in chase or if a noob survivor doesnt know how to not get scanned. before, if you just set up a drone while in a loop, you get benefits for basically no effort. and with what you proposed, claw traps will have NO use because unless you interrupt a survivor, they're not gonna mess up the drone disarm. also attaching the benefits to scanning are what made 3 gens so awful. with the rework, running away from the gen you're on (like you're supposed to) and getting scanned because of it doesnt screw you over. idle drones shouldnt damage survivors! the rework actually rewards you for EFFORT instead of slightly ok drone placement. and while comparing it to cenobite is fair, you can do the drone bash thing from anywhere, if i assume correctly, and i assume they'd have better mobility from what was explained/drawn. you could use the drones almost like singularity cameras or a limited victor. this makes claw traps' benefits would be more prevalent, since attaching one is now a skill based thing instead of hoping for 3 scans, which, again, most of which will be acquired during chase, making the whole tracking aspect of the claw trap unimportant. this ♥♥♥♥ is gas, batman

I just think that making them fly and crash into people takes away from the original "stealth killer" aspect and just turns her into a complicated version of hag.

I like the idea of controlling drones, but I think that it would be cooler to have drone cameras be black and white and make the SM not able to see survivors who aren't running while controlling them. She can periodically scan the environment in front of the drone, which will apply a claw trap to survivors she detects with the scan. THEN she can use the EMP dart ability from the drone by her side.

that seems... needlessly complicated on a rework a lot of people are already struggling to understand (skill issue tho). also it's definitely not hag, because you cant teleport to survivors. logically, the "only see them when moving" doesnt make sense if the skull merchant is actively looking through the cams. when the cams are idle they use motion sensors and no camera. then there's also the issue of the scanning applying the claw trap. if you're controlling the camera, and scanning survivors attaches a claw, that's basically unavoidable. i dont really think she needs to be a stealth killer. she wasnt a stealth killer on release. they just added a stealth mechanic haphazardly onto the drone deploy button. the only difference between their proposed changes and yours is that yours are A) likely unreactable or uncontrollable, and B) i think having the drone be consumed on bash makes a lot of sense, and removes a lot of her seemingly infinite pressure from scanning. if it was relegated to scanning again, the problems come back

I have mixed feelings about this. On the one hand there are improvements done from what was previously shown and really nice additions/changes. The first thing I want to mention is that the drone buddy is by far the best idea about this rework. It's also nice to have the claw traps back and now they have a purpose with the drone buddys emp shot. It's just that I think that this is just Singularity mixed with Twins and a bit of Knight sprinkled on top. Previously she worked pretty much as a trap killer, but this all got lost with the nerf and I'm a bit disappointed how this aspect just will not make a return.

Wenn du eine Sperre bekommst weil du zu oft die Verbindung verlierst, dann liegt das an dir selbst, weil entweder DEINE Verbindung Mist ist, oder du zu oft die Spiele von dir aus verlässt. Ich habe in den letzten 500 Spielen vielleicht 3 oder 4 DCs gehabt.

It looks like SM is becoming much more like Twins to me. With all due respect, I think this change sucks, but I'll have to wait and see if I was hopefully wrong.

find with your phone and use a trickster blade to hit them with a uvx style boom
if they have a claw trap they go down
