PTB: Corrective Action buff.... Yeah do I even need to say it?
Slap Hyperfocus and maybe Stake Out if you want more assurance and gens just fly. Absolute SWF buff. No way this gets past PTB.

Edit: Apparently I DO need to say why this is busted.

Just 2 survivors with this, a toolbox and hyperfocus clear a gen in roughly 23-28 seconds.

Add more gen related things like your runner having Quick Gambit (5% repair speed to anyone on a gen in the PTB), Deja Vu, Prove Thyself... You have to get the idea right?

And remember, the GSC feeds each player a token for Corrective Action AND Hyperfocus. This will 100% be the meta, just players running CA+Hyperfocus because the chance anyone else runs it in SoloQ is a massive cut to gens, and SWF just get a new weapon to clean trials with.

Just get a friend to run it as well. Both of you can fail free progress infinitely when working on the same gen.

Worse, you can spam the skillcheck button to make the progress faster, right as you see the skillcheck.

We just lost Distortion to killers crying that the 100 ways to read auras not working a few times. Survivors needs everything it can get these days.

No.

Do not excuse breaking mechanics and making generators lose the ONE thing that requires semblance of skill because 'muh distortion.'

Anything broken or clearly overpowered SHOULD be addressed, on both sides. No one-siding this.

Edit: Gens can be done in 17 seconds with this combo. How can you defend that?

Use all the free aura reading to stop them from doing gens that fast.

I tried it with some other guys in the PTB. It's not the most broken genrushing trick out there, but it is one of the easier, lower-risk ones.

By the time you activate any auras they have the gen done.

Run a chase at a loop? Gen done.

On the other side of the map as a killer with no mobility? Gen done.

There's videos already of people doing it between 17 seconds to 28. I can't think of any other gen builds that go that fast. Especially for free since it eliminates skillchecks.

I've seen guys do experimental builds where they use BNPs, Weaving Spiders, and Specialist to knock gens' required charges down and then rush them with Prove Thyself and toolboxes, but that's so high risk and requires such a ridiculous amount of coordination it's not really practical to use in matches, even for most SWFs. This is def easier and nobody has to spend the match Broken.

I watched a video on this and it's exactly what I thought. It's good with a toolbox but meh trying to do it without a source of constant skill checks. What makes this not broken is it requires a partner that is with you. Unlikely in soloQ. If this could be done solo it would changed by the end of tomorrow. Killers can start running discordance as an anti meta perk just like us survivors had to run distortion.

That is the difference. And I imagine with BNP's you could theoretically slam 1 gen out even faster with this combo. However, the issue is the last thing you said.

There's no real commitment to this combo. The opposite, actually. It incentives failing skill checks to do gens faster.

If you don't think this combo will become meta in less than a month, you're quite mistaken. Being able to rush gens with no commitment or worry about skillchecks would be incentive enough to slap at least Corrective+Hyperfocus on, with an exhaust perk and whatever else you want for the 4th.

And again, it makes killer's job pointless. You're stuck trying to defend gens because chase is too risky, even if you get a hit. A regular loop takes roughly 20 seconds if all goes well enough and the survivor makes a mistake, IF the survivor plays the loop correctly. And that survivor could also be running the new Quick Gambit to make gens 5% faster on top.

I would have liked to see corrective action use tokens to protect the gen you're working on from exploding. Making it niche counter to surge and pain res along with failed checks.
