No.
no it would be more toxic and how would moderation work with that when the game has nothing to do with voice chat

No thanks, Would make an already sweaty and insufferable game more sweaty and insufferable :gatordoll:

No it wouldn't

based on the community discussions alone it would only be used for 3 things

- Micro managing other players and backseat gaming
- verbally attacking players for not doing what they want
- Complaining 24/7 about the killer

its the equivalent to asking for voice chat in a toxic game like league, No.

Yes, if it was used well. I know I would have it turned off by Default to be honest

Yeah they could add it to help bridge the solo swf gap and then balance the game based off that. The community is trash though so I wouldn't be surprised if most people choose to mute

Very few people utilize voice chat properly, which means very few people use it, and more people complain about it.

I think it's a useless feature, especially if you've played these types of games that did have voice chat. It didn't make any of them more balanced, in fact I encountered more trolls than anything else or people trying to farm a tiktok or youtube clip.

I do see merit in like a communication wheel similar to what Outlast Trials has. That game also has voice chat, but similarly it's not usually used properly. I find more use out of the pings and chat wheel.

It's important to remember that when we talk about the power of SWF, it's not just their communication that's OP. It's that they care about each other getting out. They know what perks each other has, and they sometimes coordinate builds to optimize their playstyles. That's also quite powerful and rarely discussed. It's also not something that can easily be replicated, certainly not by voice chat alone.

Take voice chat out of it completely. Them simply knowing each other removes so much of the RNG that this game is balanced around.

Textchat inside the game would be the right step to close the gap between SoloQ and SWF.
But I guess there are reasons, why the dont implement it,

YES!
Many players talk to each other via Discord while playing anyway, so it wouldn't make a difference

proximity chat would be funny

I would only say yes IF the devs add an ingame mute button when you press esc, icons, names and a mute button over them.

Most proxy games with friends is pretty fun.. but randoms you get mostly children, weird teens/adults that scream bloody murder, scream slurs, foul things, obnoxious music at 100%.. muting is a must.. if not id say no.. because i do not want to get countless headaches...

that and killers should have proxy chat too, not just survivors. it makes things fair, games going against the bad guys are quite funny ngl.

Chatwheel/chat text prompts YES, actual voice chat-HELL no.
