Aura reading perks
They are annoying when killers run just these perks. I don't care about anti-gen perks. I play killer, and using aura reading perks is mind-numbingly boring and too powerful. As survivor, there is no counter except distortion which no one should have to rely on just to counter 4 aura reading perks. Lethal Pursuer is fine because is the first 9 secs. of the match. Alien Instinct is fine because it's only 1 survivor and they have to be injured. But No Where to Hide and BBQ and Chili are the worst. There are no cooldowns for those perks. They are unlimited. And to activate them you just hook or kick gen. There's no special requirement like Alien Instinct. Sure, I can be far away from the gen to not get detected, or be close to the hook so I'm not revealed, or I can hide in locker every time. But what about you're other teammates? Not everyone will be able to make it "out of range" in time.

I agree using 1 perk to counter 4 aura perk is stupid and should be in the survivor basekit.

Joking aside you know that with all the gen nerf and the limitation on the amount of kick that killer are adapting their build and the next best thing after gen slowdown is to use aura build so they can down the next survivor asap the only thing is this only work on good killer with a good power.

You can only hook/kick gens so many times.

As long as distortion is the way it is I don't see aura builds as viable. You have to run multiple of them to proc their charges fast enough to drain them which heavily restricts your build. Then if you proc distortion in the chase you just deleted their scratch marks but aura reads in a chase are probably the most valuable form of it.

I could play a bit today and i saw some build with 3 aura perk. I like to believe this can deplete the stack real fast but i can be mistaken and i only see aura build on killer like huntress, wesker, billy, blight and nurse.

Certainly, if you use high rate of activation and/or several of them you will burn through their stacks pretty quickly. There are two problems with this though. The perks that provide numerous, easy activations are often uncontrollable on your end. This leads to situations where they lose scratch marks mid chase and become much harder down. The other problem is what you mentioned: having to use multiple aura reads to burn through stacks.

I'm not saying it can't be done. It's just not really that viable when all survivors need to do is equip distortion and play the game. Generally, you don't see aura builds that often outside of killers that benefit greatly from seeing them at long distance. That scenario isn't really impacted by any of these downsides.
