Chucky NOT overpowered *if* one thing gets changed....
Removed the Undetectable part of Hidey-Ho Mode and everything else can stay the same as-is and Chucky would be survivable against. As it is now, the vast majority of Survivors I've talked to refuse to play against a killer who is untrackable- whether by line-of-sight or by terror radius, but both at the same time (due to Chucky being so short and Undetectable) is overkill to the Kth degree(not going to the Nth degree, so a Killer get the Kth). Remove the Undetectable part, and once one thinks about how all the other perks would work on him, he's a decent challenge, but not overkill.

And before any sweaty folks try to chime in, I play both Survivor and Killer side, though I haven't even tried being Chucky yet, I've played *against* him and have yet to survive more than maybe 10 minutes in either solo queue or SWF with family-- doesn't matter, it's a waste of time and no fun to just be cannon fodder.

I'm not sure that's the only issue tbh, of all the killers I've played against, I've never had so many consistently faulty hits against just one character. When I tell you I'm clipping the craziest nonsense ever at 28 ping.... The thing is that maybe his swing is normal sized, but it's not a fair expectation to a player to expect him to make certain swings, when the actual character model is so far back. Either his hitbox needs some serious adjustment, or his swing animation needs serious adjustment.

Have you played against freddy? the smaller the weapon the wonkier the hit looks. He and freddy both have the same lunge of any other killer

Yeah I call it "freddy reach" (in part because every freddy I play against has questionable internet connection); but whilst the reach may be off, Freddy is properly sized for it, and has a long animation. Chucky's dash is hard to perceive correctly because his body is much thinner than his hitbox, and his regular swing has a very short (at least, short-looking) animation

Chucky has a surge, *then* the lunge. Timing it just right is how it appears they can attack around corners.

I'm not saying remove Hidey-Ho. I'm saying remove only the Undetectable function to it. Leave every other part of all the abilities intact. The Undetectable is the issue people have with him (other than he's small, but hey, not everyone's over 5' 6"). Also, the Undetectable is part of a built-in core ability that everything else chains off of, NOT a perk that can be turned off/removed so it's always there.

I've even heard the argument "Freddy was 'stealth' in the movies-- nobody saw him til it was too late.' True, but in-game you can see him across the map occasionally chasing someone or pathing through Gens... no chance of that with someone smaller than the grass.

The easiest way to deal with chucky's dection issue is to heal up. Get out of the mindset that you should be doing gens while wounded. This way even if chucky does pop up out of no where, he can't insta down you because you wouldnt heal up. Chucky is a hit and run killer, hit and run killers are weakest against heal builds.

Edit - Try talking to the other survivors while in the lobby and have 1 person bring a circle of healing boon perk. I promise you that unless your team totally stinks it will noticeably change up how your end game goes against a chucky.

Honestly I just wish he got his power back a little slower in chase, but faster than current when out of chase. That's about my only issue with him.

That and maybe make the laugh when he enters his power a bit louder and more audible I guess, to everyone.
