zig zag dont run straight ways, seriously there are ways to dodge ranged stuff
like a blink as they dunno where there gonna land specifically
i had a doctor trying to shock me i kept running in circles till eventually they tried hitting me >w< they got me once till the hitting began
nurse is an unknown when it comes to her power, the blink you cant fully project were youll land and if its going straight make a fast turn left right repeatably
dodging is key with blink or anything thats ranged
1. Running around a corner and baiting her into blinking way ahead of you
2. When she tries to charge up for a long distance blink, turning around and start running towards her
There is little to no potential for juking in a loop or when she is within ~10 meters of you because the blink is so fast that only an inexperienced nurse would miss a shot like that. This is why only having a single blink in situations like loops would be a relatively decent balancing change due to her blink allowing her to effectively cover both sides of a loop at the same time with rapid fire blinks.
Compare her rapid blinks to killers like Spirit or Dredge whose power is a one-time use for a given scenario. If they try to use their power and end up screwing up, such as a survivor juking them on a pallet throw/slide, they don't get a second chance the way the nurse does with a 2nd blink. While they have no room for error, the nurse has 1 chance to fix her mistake by being able to blink back after missing.
And yeah. Nurse gets countered by winning mindgames instead of Survivors being 100% safe in most situations. Nurse's blinks aren't fast either. A full blink cycle at full charge is something like 8 seconds before the fatigue. It only seems quick because you're not watching the Nurse the whole time she's doing her thing. If Nurse is shorting her blinks, she needs to be careful to not trigger the flickering effect that happens when you blink too short in addition to any last second jukes you make.
Stealth works better than other things against Nurse. Perks like QnQ, Iron Will, Dance With Me, and UE screw Nurse over because they deprive her of information on your exact location, which she requires to blink to you. She can blink to a corner, but if you can run stealth and succeed AND know how to mindgame, she won't be able to catch you unless she reads you perfectly.
I counter Nurse just fine. I've made Nurses rage quit. They leave me cause they know they are wasting time chasing me instead of those on gens as they pop. At this point I realize they won't even give me a pity hit while chasing another when I try to take a hit. I have to go full sabotauge mode to make them chase me the rest of match. Poor baby Nurses...
instead of complaining of a challenge
challenges are tests if you cant past the test then move along
as the trials are literally tests themselves to see if you can escape, or if the killer can sacrifice you.
you will never escape every match, you will never sacrifice everyone each time.
you will always meet your better
would love to see those who complain take on some truly hard games
as NPCS can be far worse then an actual people in so many cases
just wait till we get AI'S instead of regular NPCS we would never win
but all in all
play as the killer in custom against bots, see how hard she is to play
then come back and complain after seeing how much skill it takes to play as her
not only that find some ways to beat her by playing as her
custom is always the best pre training ground in learning how to combat stuff
now we just need a killer bot to train against
but survivor bots give you insight as to how killers play
Agreed! For the most part.
But... I played one match as killer against 4 actual bots in hopes of testing out the new killer's powers, and I monched the bots like they were being fed to me on a conveyor belt. I wasn't even using my powers! At 5 gens, had 2 hung, realized I was going to win with no bot progress. I felt nothing for those robots. I wasn't going to wait for them to try harder nor take pity. I just hung them all asap to end the match. I was actually bored.
Granted that I would love to see an AI take over for any player that had DC'd! Any movement at all is better than losing a player on either side. Even if all that bot could do was be walked to a hook, that still spends lots of killer time while gens are worked on, and gives killer hook points.
if she got halted via pallets each time or every object nurses would most likely never get anyone.
then loopers and types like that would always win out over her or a higher % anyway
I recommend doing a little research on the subject.
As nurse I love when survivors commit to an action such as fast vaulting long pallets that I can meet them on the other side of with vengeance.
