Canon problem: Ghost Rider isn't generally a villain, since the angel-like being that grants his powers does have a strong sense of justice. Holding countless people hostage for all eternity, several of whom are totally innocent? That'll get the Entity some divine judgement, and Ghost Rider is on a power scale where he could actually follow through on it; on the other hand, so is Heather/Cheryl/Alyssa, but she is "suppressing her powers" for gameplay purposes.
Meta problem: Marvel and Disney lockdown. Marvel's fine with crossovers within their own properties, but Disney dislikes them unless the licensing contract pulls in some insane cash while also giving Disney almost total creative control.
